Tuesday! Its a new day and I have a new outlook. Things will be good. I just have to keep doing what I’ve been doing. I’m making some small tweaks but still working HARD. The biggest of the “small tweaks” is NO BOOT CAMP! Boot camp is a group class and is not 1 on 1. It is not tailored for ME and ME alone. I strongly believe that my body needs to be catered to right now. I am stuck in this plateau and until it ends…I have to deal with it.
Kevin quickly reminded me that I’m SO much farther along that I was back in October 2009. I have to always remember where I’ve come from. I’ve lost like 44 lbs! That’s not a small feat. He made me pick up 45 lbs in weights just to see how much weight that really is. It was HEAVY!
So, this morning I tried a “Mat Pilates” class with Michelle and it was good. I love trying new things and if it targets my core, then its even better.

I had my first training session with Kevin since he got back from Paris. It totally kicked my butt! But in a good way, of course
I started early and got a good run in. I ran for 13 minutes straight
Then we did a circuit of 300 meters on the Rowing Machine, 10 bosu sit ups with a 9 lb medicine ball slam, 15 resistance band presses and lastly running a lap around the track. I did this circuit 4 times.
Then we moved to the tire flip. Its a big old truck tire that I flip, run around R to L, then flip again and this time run L to R. Its killer to keep going and my legs were on FIRE! Flipping the tire on the way back I had to actually jump in and out of it horizontally instead of running around it. I flipped it up and back, 3 times each! Gosh my legs were on FIRE!!!
Lastly I was on the weight machine with 25 lbs and doing 15 pulls (1 arm at a time) while in a lunge position. Then it was switched to the other leg and other arm. This was super-set with tricep extensions. The weight was at 70 lbs and I did 15 of them. These 2 or 3 exercises, depending on how you look at it, were done 3 times each.
This afternoon was GREAT and I’m so thankful to have such a WONDERFUL trainer. He truly is a friend and does what is best for ME!

I ended the day with a relaxing hour of YOGA! It was very relaxing but probably not the best idea. My body was hurting from pilates this morning and I asked a lot from it again. The breathing and meditation was great but I don’t think I’ll be doing both things in the same day again!
In October 2009, I weighed 249 pounds. By February, I'd lost 35, and I'm still going. Bikini season's coming soon... will I make my goal by then? Watch and find out... but hang on tight! It's going to be a bumpy ride with lots of "Nic's and Bruises"
